    Guns and Grit

    Aka “sander selfie”. I started a new project this week, which was spurred on by moving around furniture. I’m really hoping gray spray paint will stick to this lightly sanded white paint, because I don’t have the guns or grit to fully strip this cabinet that we picked up from the flea market several years ago. It seems the cabinet has been rehabbed at least once before. The current (dirty, chipping and smelly) white is just too punchy for the rest of the room.     Piles on Piles

    I’ve been working my way through the house attempting to put it back on its feet after several years of toddlerdom and a lifelong habit of saving every little thing. There’s a front room in the house that has amazing potential yet it often finds itself in the cross hairs of multiple hobbies, a litter box and hoards of preschool projects. It is the first room people see when they walk in the door and it currently looks like it is vomiting out the manifestation of my internal chaos.     Coming Unhinged at Target

    To make a very long story short (because my three page post was deleted by the magic that is Blogger), I went, I walked, I searched, I growled at children, I was completely defeated, I put things back on shelves and donning a dress with Chacos and no umbrella, walked to my car in the midst of a torrential downpour with a sopping wet stack of unused coupons and not a single bag of goods after spending nearly an hour and a half in Target.
