Pottery sale this Thursday evening!
This Thursday night, I’ll be selling my wares at the Silent Auction and Music Event to Launch New NC artisan Boutique: Kindred. I’m super excited to support my friend Michelle Smith, and 15% of my sales will go towards Kindred Boutique.
I just purchased new glazes to sample, which come in little pint containers, so I had to brush on glaze rather than dip them. Dipping gives more even coverage than brushing, but the variation can also be visually interesting.
Other exciting news is that I’m taking a handbuilding class at Pullen Arts Center. I can’t wait to get new skills that I can use off the wheel! The biggest advantages of taking ceramics classes are meeting new people (and getting inspired by them), using the center’s plethora of glazes, and getting out of the house one night a week.
I hope to see you Thursday!

Thanks, Sharon! I'm amazed at what the iPhone can do as far as taking decent pics.
