Isn’t it amazing how this succulent garden filled in overnight? Just kidding. I made another trip to a different Lowes which had more Hens and Chicks. (previous post)

I LOVE it! I have always wanted a succulent garden. Maybe I will do some containers. So pretty!

Containers are definitely the way to go if you have a sunny spot and room, which you do. There were so many cute succulents I loved that weren't winter hardy. Maybe you could do one and I could feature it on here? 🙂

nice! How much sunlight do those need?

The Hens and Chicks and the Echervia Mazarine (the bluish ones) need full sun to partial shade. http://landscaping.about.com/od/plantsforsunnydryareas/p/hens_and_chicks.htm
The sedum prefer full sun. If you go to J.C. Raulston Arboretum, they have a whole Rooftop succulent garden and it should give you a pretty good idea of what you can grow.

there are SO many varieties of sedum! they vary in color from bluegreen to orange and burnt red, and in height from blanketing to 18" tall (maybe taller, that's all I know of though). I love how easy they are to grow, how quickly they spread, and how hardy such a varying plant can be!
