Succulent Pottery Planters
The afternoon before The Handmade Market, my love of gardening collided with my love of ceramics, and the result was little succulent gardens. I enjoyed piecing these together so much that once my shoulder is good an rested, I will keep headed down this rabbit hole of fun. I’ve replanted the leftover succulents and pieces that broke off during handling and will save them for later. The fuzzy cactus is soft and so adorable that I may not be able to let it go. Teacher Gifts from the Garden
Last year was the Man-child’s first year at Mom’s Morning Out, and I completely failed to do something for his teachers. This year, though it was a different set of teachers, I was determined to make up for last years’ negligence. Afterall, these ladies love my boy well! The only problem is he has nearly six to eight teachers between the two days he goes, the teacher that comes just for story time and the awesome director that comes in to play with the kids just because she likes to. I purchased this plant at the Farmer’s Market last fall, intentionally picking out one with a lot of babies. I’m told the babies are referred to as “chicks”. I was thinking they would just mound and grow bigger, but they decided they wanted to explore. I decided they should go explore outside.
