Fostering Grace in the Home
Not long into marriage my husband broke one of our kitchen glasses and I flipped a lid over it. Reflecting on the incident, I couldn’t help but wonder why I cared so much about that glass – so much that I would railroad Joe and try to shame him for his mistake. That was a turning point for my journey on fostering grace in the home. I’d have to say that the journey has come full-circle as just yesterday, Scooby…

Where’d ya go?
This post is for my friends who wonder if I’ve fallen off the face of the earth. I haven’t. It’s the busiest time of the year for me. My 3 hour course is coming to a close, which means I’m catching up of grading and trying to prep for next week during which I’ll have to grade 11 reports and administer a final exam. I’ve also been cranking out hand built pottery in hopes of one more firing before Christmas.…

Clay Love
I’ve been spending a good bit of my free time (technically I shouldn’t have any, right? Isn’t that what “good” moms say?) hand building at the kitchen table. The best find by far is the local raw wildflower honey by The Pleasant Bee. They sell their honey through their website, Papa Spuds, and on Saturday morning at the Midtown Farmers…

Incentive (Day 5).
Tomorrow is the big day! Yesterday Joe and I went in the garage and tried to figure out the best arrangement for the display table. Now there is a perfect little drawer for the prints and plenty of vertical variation for the pottery. It was this big three dimensional puzzle, and I can’t wait to show you the finished results tomorrow. Earlier this week we opened up the kiln. There were no glaze runs and most of the pieces came…

Incentive (Day 4).
I’m going to let you in on a little secret. I feel like a poser when it comes to selling prints for the first time. In fact, I’m squeamish to even say, “I’m selling photography.” Truth is, I know plenty of AMAZING photographers, and I certainly wouldn’t even claim to be a photographer. I’m just a gal who likes taking pictures in her garden and enjoys processing photos with limited skills. I imagine my subject matter being enjoyed by fellow…
