Last Day of NaBloPoMo
Whelp, National Blog Posting Month has been a blast. I managed to post everyday but one, which I did the next morning and back dated. Yes, I cheated. Posting frequently definitely keeps readers checking back more often, but I got tired of writing and started doing picture posts. There’s nothing wrong with pictures, and I know you secretly relished the one of the squished cabbage worms.
After a warm Thanksgiving week here in Raleigh, the weather finally has some nip to it again. I’m not sure how much longer the lettuces will last, which is a shame because I still haven’t tasted them. For the life of me, I can’t muster up the desire to gobble down some leafy greens. It’s simply a matter of retraining my taste buds, but right now, the taste buds only cry out for things like sweet potatoes, pizza, and chilli. Maybe if I smothered the lettuce with fried chicken and ranch dressing I could make all my veggie lovin’ friends (and probably my own body) happy… unless of course those friends are vegan.
November has been fun!

I have the same problem with lettuce. And we solve it in a similar way!! Quorn makes great veggie "chicken" patties that we cut up and put on salad with mandarin orange slices and toasted ramen noodles.

You can tell I've really been "out of it!" I missed most of your posts, but I've just quickly gone back over them… What beautiful garden produce you have/had!!!
